Kapalabhati Yoga

Cleanses the respiratory system. Increases energy

Introduction

Kapalabhati, also known as Skull Shining Breath, is a powerful yogic breathing technique that involves forceful exhalations and passive inhalations. This practice is designed to cleanse the respiratory system, invigorate the mind, and energize the body.

How to Practice Kapalabhati

  1. Starting Position: Sit comfortably with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed. Place your hands on your knees with palms facing up.
  2. Inhale Deeply: Take a deep breath in through your nose.
  3. Forceful Exhalation: Exhale forcefully through your nose, pulling your navel in towards your spine with each exhalation. The inhalation will happen passively.
  4. Repetition: Continue this pattern for 20-30 breaths, then take a break and breathe normally. Repeat for 2-3 rounds.                                          Consult a Professional: If you have any doubts or pre-existing health conditions, consult a healthcare professional or a certified yoga instructor before starting Kapalabhati.
